I'll keep it simple

I'm fairly no-nonsense.

Actually, I'm wordy. A terrible writer. So to spare you, I will keep it no-nonsense.

Each day, if I do share some thoughts, they will be pretty well to the point. (Don't you hate when you find a pin for Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownie-Cookies on Pinterest, and there is a 700-word essay that you have to scroll through before finding the recipe?)

So right to the point.

Day 1

Martha's book begins with a great introduction...which I will skip on this particular forum!
(I've read it. And again, I advise you to read it. There's nothing to do. Skipping it for this blog.)

So the real first pages are 9–10.

Martha reminds us that there is always something to be done. If you looked around my home right now, yes, you would be aware of that fact immediately.

Then she explains how the book is organized.

1) Every* room (12 chapters), and their surfaces, furnishings, and objects. And how to care for each. Details include different types of surfaces, so you'll know what's needed, whether you have marble, quartz, or laminate counters.
2) A "Throughout the House" section, showing how to clean generally. The routines and supplies. And the surfaces that continue throughout all areas of the home.
3) "Comfort and Safety" which is less about cleaning, and more about maintaining the home's systems and also planning for emergencies.
4) Extra sections regarding moving, and specific household surfaces and materials.

*Hey Martha! Since I have been practicing with your book for a few months, I've noticed, there's nothing about cleaning my car! I guess I will check your website?
